Customer Reviews
My daughter really enjoys this toy, which is a big deal for us because she really does not like many toys. We've had no issue with peeling paint and it seems well-made. Make sure you shop around as the price really can vary. We bought it for around $50 from Target (through Amazon). I don't know if they changed it, but the corners on ours are somewhat rounded, so there shouldn't be any injuries with it that way. The issue we've had is that our daughter pulls up on it and the thing tips over on her. I wish it was heavier at the base so it couldn't tip over. As is, whenever she plays with it, someone has to sit on the other side and hold it. I do think it will get years of use as the toys lend themselves to being played with at many stages of development. Once she gets where she can stand on her own, it tipping won't be an issue either.

My son (now 10 months) has loved this toy since about 6 months. His grandmother taught him how to stand by holding on to the wires on top, and he's been fascinated by the beads and wires ever since. Now he pushes the whole box and "walks" around with it. He has been less interested in the sides, but other babies who have visited have especially liked to play with the doors and spinning letters. I think the quality of the construction is quite good - I like how it is all wood (except for the wires) and not plastic. We haven't had any issues with the paint. We also haven't had any tipping over issues - at first when my son was pulling himself up it would tilt a little, but he quickly learned to compensate and balance better. I think it's a great toy! A quick note on potential choking hazards... it seems to me that all the parts are well atached, so I'm not sure what could be a choking hazard unless the toy were broken.

I gave my niece for her first bday and he loves it. He plays with it alone for a very long time! He gets to use for support. His sister 5 years old game too. It is not too daunting in size and is not an eyesore to be seated when the company comes. It looks good and is very good for his overall development. E 'robust, challenging, interesting and well worth the cost. I will be happy to give this another year older in the future!

Product Description
Parental BATTAT Magazine Busy Zoo activity cube is a fun learning experience. The activities are simple enough for one year of age to understand and large enough for them to handle with ease. Above, the animals can move along tracks or twirl wooden shapes along looping wire. Choices around the four sides include rotating picture blocks to form the image of a variety of animals, turning any one of interconnecting gears to make them all spin, open and close a door and window. For the future, reversible alphabet blocks show a picture and his first letter, on the one hand, and the upper and lower case letter on the back. The finger and hand manipulations will develop different muscles later used to learn to write. (More...)
